These are games ChatGPT made, not games you play with ChatGPT. We gave the two GPT-6 models behind ChatGPT, GPT-6 Astra and GPT-6.1 Sol, three game briefs each, one prompt and one attempt, and published whatever they built. Six games, all playable in your browser, all written without a human touching the code.
What games did ChatGPT make?
Three kinds, each built twice.
- A top-down MOBA. Astra built Emberfall, a low-poly forest lane with a river, towers and a hero called Aeris. Sol built Aetherfall, a darker, sparser arena with a hero called Kael. Both heroes' ultimate ability is called Starfall, a name Claude Fable 5.1 chose for its hero too. 25 and 20 minutes.
- A 3D shooter. Astra built Dead Signal and Sol built Dead Link, two block-built industrial arenas that both put a door marked Relay in front of you. Waves, reloading, health and a game-over screen in both. 20 and 13 minutes.
- A physics toy. Both called theirs Kinetic: twenty numbered balls bouncing inside a hexagon that turns once every ten seconds, with physics written from scratch. 8 minutes each.
How well do ChatGPT's games play?
They are complete, stable and a little plain. Every game has a start screen, a working loop and an end state, and none logged a runtime error in our recordings. Under our scripted input, Astra's shooter survives the full 40 seconds while Sol's player dies at 35, and both MOBA heroes fall once during the 60-second push. Visually they are simpler than the Claude versions of the same briefs: flatter lighting, fewer effects, smaller worlds. They are also much smaller programs, one to five files each.

How do you make a game with ChatGPT?
Write the game down precisely and let Codex build it. Our briefs list the genre, the controls, the systems such as waves or minions, the camera, and technical rules such as "three.js is provided as a local file" and "every sound is synthesised in code". Copy the MOBA prompt or the shooter prompt, adjust it to your idea, and run it. Then play the result before you change anything: the first version tells you what to ask for next.
How do ChatGPT's games compare with Claude's?
ChatGPT finishes faster and cheaper; Claude builds richer worlds. At list API prices, Astra's games cost $2.12 to $7.27 each and Sol's $0.65 to $1.12, while the Claude versions took over an hour and cost far more. See the Claude side in Claude games, or judge all four builds of a game with the names hidden.

Frequently asked questions
Can ChatGPT make a game?
Yes. The GPT-6 models behind ChatGPT each built a playable 3D shooter, a top-down MOBA and a physics simulation from one prompt each, in 8 to 25 minutes, with no human edits. You can play all six on this site.
Are these games you play with ChatGPT, or games ChatGPT made?
Games ChatGPT made. Many pages about ChatGPT games are about text games you play inside a chat. These are real browser games whose code was written entirely by GPT-6 Astra and GPT-6.1 Sol, running in OpenAI's Codex agent.
How good are the games ChatGPT made?
Complete and playable, with menus, scores, health and restart screens, but visually simpler and less atmospheric than the Claude models' versions of the same games. In our scripted tests, three of the four GPT heroes died at least once.
Can I make a game with ChatGPT myself?
Yes. The exact prompts we used are public on each brief page. Paste one into Codex or into ChatGPT, ask for the files, and open the result in a browser. The 3D briefs ship the three.js engine as a local file, which you would include too.
